ART 251 - Ceramics: Wheel Throwing
This introductory ceramics course is designed for students with no prior experience in pottery or wheel throwing. Focused on developing essential pottery wheel techniques, the course covers basic glaze application, foundational ceramic processes, and an introduction to hand-eye-mind coordination for effective form-making. Students will also explore historical, cultural, and contemporary trends, concepts, and theories in ceramics. The course content and expected learning outcomes may vary each term. May be repeated for up to 8 credits.
