| MA 119 - Introduction to Medical Coding and Scribing |

Prerequisite: Successful completion of all Fall MA courses; completion of HO 150 or HO 152 with a grade of C or higher.This course introduces students to basic ICD-10 and CPT-4 coding procedures. This includes abstracting from healthcare documentation/records and assigning alphanumeric codes to diagnoses and procedures. The course also introduces students to basics of Medical scribing in outpatient healthcare providers' offices.
