HIM 270 - ICD Coding 1
Prerequisite: HO100, HO150 (or BI 232 with a C or better) Co-requisites: HO152 (or BI233 with a C or better). This is Part 1 of a 2 Part series. Examines the development of coding classification systems. Introduces ICD coding classification system, its format and conventions. Emphasizes the rules and guidelines of basic coding steps and guidelines according to body systems. May be offered online.
