CS 284 - Network Security Fundamentals |
Pre-requisite: CS 179 and MTH 082 or instructor consent. This course covers fundamental computer and network security concepts from the security plus certification material. It emphasizes securing the operating system, applications, media, network devices, web pages, and other network services. In addition, types of attacks, digital certificates, keys, and designing and implementing security policies and procedures are discussed. This course has a hands-on focus. May be offered online.
