Prerequisite: Within the past four terms completed MTH 020 or equivalent course with a grade of "C-"or better or passed a placement test through the Testing Office. This is a pre-algebra level course in professional-technical mathematics used in chemistry, dosage computation, and other science-related courses. Topics include unit conversions, metrics, scientific notation, significant figures, rates, proportions, percent applications, graphs, algebra of units, and logarithms for pH. May be offered through Distance Learning. Scientific Calculator is required. Please refer to the Calculator Recommendation Chart on www.lanecc.edu/math.
