Prerequisite: GIS 249
or consent of instructor.
Students will design and implement a capstone project that integrates GIS skills and knowledge. Students will apply critical thinking skills to solve geospatial problems. Students will develop project management workflows and create and manage a geodatabase. Students will use ArcGIS and other appropriate geospatial technologies to process and analyze spatial data then develop appropriate visual products to present project results. Students will gain workforce skills in time management, report writing, collaborative problem solving, and presenting information.
