HIT 160 - Practice Management
Introduces medical practice management software. Students learn to create and maintain electronic patient appointment and billing records. Including data entry and storage of treatment information, matching CPT-4 and diagnosis codes with treatment procedures and charges, create and follow insurance claims for collection of payments from Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance and other reimbursement organizations. Creation of patient statements, dunning letters, and insurance appeals. This course will be offered online.
