Prerequisites: HO 112, pre- or co-requisite: HO 114, or instructor consent. The study of coded data and health information in reimbursement and payment systems appropriate to all health care settings. Emphasis on ability to identify correct codes and appropriate documentation in order to obtain maximum reimbursement. Technologic advances in claims submission and coding will be included.
