Learning Objectives: Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to: 1. Analyze historical and cultural factors that influence classroom management approaches and practices 2. Develop culturally sustaining strategies to create a positive, inclusive, and respectful classroom climate that fosters student engagement and learning 3. Apply the foundational principles of trauma-informed teaching, including the impact of trauma on students’ physical, emotional and cognitive well-being 4.
