Learning Objectives: Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to: 1. Analyze formal, thematic and harmonic structure, as well as motivic development of the composition in various musical forms such as contrapuntal, binary, ternary and sonata forms 2. Identify all four types of Augmented six chords, their origins, functions and resolution 3. Identify an enharmonic modulation through respelling Mm7 into augmented sixth chord 4. Harmonize a simple modulatory melody 5. Realize various chromatic chords with correct voice leading from a given figured-bass at an advanced level Required Materials: Technical Requirements: |
