Learning Objectives: Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to: 1. Identify the impacts of humans on the natural environment using a regional perspective 2. Appraise the rich diversity of cultures and natural landscapes across the world through discussion and project-focused research 3. Analyze patterns of urban development across the globe 4. Interpret the various factors that contribute to migration patterns around the world 5. Compare and contrast differing economic systems and the impacts this has on people in given regions 6. Identify the influence of geopolitics, both globally and locally, as it applies to human experiences of the world 7.
