Learning Objectives: Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to: 1. Define and apply the roles, responsibilities, behaviors, and expectations of the professional nurse as influenced by professional standards of practice and performance in relation to the BSN Essentials 2. Apply the integration of accountability, autonomy, and ethical decision-making in the delivery of safe, effective, and quality driven nursing practice 3. Analyze elements of communication, collaboration, and leadership, as a member of the interprofessional healthcare team 4. Utilize/implement evidence-based practice, resource management, and emerging technologies to drive innovation, cultural safety, and healthcare dynamics in nursing practice 5. Analyze the role of the nurse as a change agent through leadership and advocacy to influence and develop healthcare policies, initiatives and strategies to promote quality care outcomes 6.
