Learning Objectives: Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to: 1. Identify common infectious diseases and methods of transmission 2. Describe intersection of infectious diseases with substance use and addictive behavior 3. Demonstrate and explain the use of screening and risk assessment tools for infectious disease, including legal and ethical issues 4. Examine personal values, attitudes, and behaviors and how they may impact professional work in the field of human services 5.
