Learning Objectives: Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to: 1. Create and analyze watercolor projects that demonstrate critical and creative thinking 2. Explore the technical aspects of watercolor painting media, including but not limited to, watercolor paint, paper, and mediums and additives 3. Apply watercolor painting skills, including but not limited to, washes, wet-on-wet, and glazing 4. Identify and utilize aesthetic elements including value, positive and negative space, perspective, and a variety of brush strokes 5. Identify and demonstrate the use of specific color theory 6. Analyze paintings verbally, or in writing, related to specific painting media, theory, and vocabulary 7.
