Learning Objectives: Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to: 1. Create drawing projects that utilize critical and creative thinking skills 2. Explore and apply imagery using the human figure, organic forms and/or landscape within drawing media 3. Demonstrate proficient use of a variety of traditional and non-traditional drawing media, including but not limited to, charcoal, conte’, ink, gesso, aqueous media, pastel, and erasers 4. Demonstrate proficient use of 2D visual elements in drawing, including line, value, shape, composition, positive and negative space, depth, form, and mark-making 5. Demonstrate proficient use of representational drawing skills, including proportion, fore-shortening, anatomical structure, form and depth 6. Analyze drawings verbally, or in writing, related to specific drawing media, theory, history and vocabulary 7.
