Learning Objectives: Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to: 1. Describe the Stage Model of the Process of Change 2. Identify theoretical models of motivation and brief interventions 3. Describe the key elements of the motivational interviewing style and differentiate it from other approaches 4. Implement skills associated with the therapeutic tasks at each stage of change 5. Demonstrate the five general principles of motivational interviewing 6.
