Learning Objectives: Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to: 1. Incorporate novice level management skills while providing client-centered care that is based on the unique needs of a culturally diverse population 2. Plan nursing care that minimizes risk or harm to clients, self, and others, and use data to monitor and improve client outcomes 3. Formulate clinical judgments when providing nursing care based on current evidence, clinical expertise, and client preferences, needs and values 4. Communicate effectively and collaboratively in a self-directed manner with clients, families, and members of the healthcare team in a way that promotes inclusivity and a sense of belonging 5. Generate nursing care that reflects integrity, accountability, and legal and ethical practice while modeling the professional roles of coordinator-of-care, educator, advocate, and leader 6.
