Learning Objectives: Upon successful completion of this course, a student will be able to: 1. Explain communication theory and use in written assignments and oral assignments 2. Use library resources to effectively obtain information needed for business reports and presentations 3. Communicate personal and organizational information using standard business document formats and business presentation techniques and tools 4. Research, write, and edit correctly formatted business documents using online and library resources and business software applications 5. Identify factors for selecting appropriate technology, including email, social media, and video conferencing software, for business communication needs based on the message and audience 6. Plan, research, and format a formal report on a topic relating to business 7. Describe the ethical and legal considerations of effective business communications 8.
