---|
Associated Term:
Spring 2025
Learning Objectives: Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to: 1. Demonstrate appropriate application of the equations of kinematics to situations involving motion of a particle in space 2. Demonstrate appropriate application of Newton's Second Law and the equations of kinetics to situations involving motion of a particle in space using force-acceleration, work-energy, and impulse-momentum methods 3. Demonstrate appropriate application of the equations of kinematics to situations involving motion of a rigid body in space (2D and 3D) 4. Solve dynamics problems using algebraic and calculus-based vector analysis in each of the following types of coordinate systems: cartesian (2D and 3D), normal-tangential, polar, cylindrical, spherical, translating (2D and 3D), and rotating (2D and 3D) Required Materials: Technical Requirements: |
