Learning Objectives: Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to: 1. Demonstrate the confidence, self-awareness, relaxation, and understanding of improv techniques necessary to effectively improvise for the stage 2. Apply the body, voice, observation, concentration, imagination, understanding of improv game structure and storytelling in order to effectively improvise for the stage 3. Conduct effective research on improv techniques and games and apply the research to group activities and performances 4. Express a personal artistic aesthetic utilizing informed vocabulary in order to evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of the acting/improvising work of others and reflect on one’s own personal and artistic growth 5. Engage critical thinking, empathy, interpersonal communication skills, and problem-solving skills while embracing uncertainty as an opportunity for growth when preparing and presenting improv for the stage Required Materials: Technical Requirements: |
