ART 117 - Core Studio: 3D Design
Associated Term: Spring 2025
Learning Objectives: Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
1. Create 3D Art projects that demonstrate knowledge of 3D theory and practice as they pertain to 3D visual art disciplines
2. Apply 3D design elements, including, form/mass, balance, proportion, scale, contrast, tension, rhythm, pattern, and positive–negative space
3. Use various 3D processes, techniques and materials to complete 3D assignments and projects
4. Present individual visual, aesthetic, conceptual choices in 3D design projects that relate to specific art historical and/or contemporary art theory
5. Analyze 3D art projects, verbally, or in writing, related to specific 3D design media, theory and vocabulary
6. Engage with specific elements of creative thinking, including persistence, risk-taking, reflection, and exploration
