ART 116 - Core Studio: Color Theory |

Learning Objectives: Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to: 1. Create and analyze design projects that demonstrate the use of color theory as related to 2D, 3D, and/or digital media and practice 2. Identify and apply use of color elements, including but not limited to, hue, value, intensity/saturation, and temperature 3. Identify and employ use of specific color systems and relationships, including but not limited to, achromatic, monochromatic, complementary, analogous, triadic, and split-complementary 4. Identify and show use of design elements and principles, including but not limited to, unity, tension, rhythm, balance, and repetition 5. Demonstrate individual visual, aesthetic, and conceptual choices in color design projects that relate to specific art historical and/or contemporary art theory 6. Analyze color and design images verbally, or in writing, related to specific color media, theory, and vocabulary 7.
