Learning Objectives: Upon successful completion of this course, a student will be able to: 1. Explain the physiological, psychological, and sociological factors that impact women’s well-being 2. Identify experiences that those who identify as ‘women’ may have, including: pregnancy, childbirth, sexual assault, gender discrimination on their overall health outcomes 3. Identify common mental health issues among women 4. Explain the influence of family, community and the socially constructed environment on women’s health behaviors and outcomes 5. Explain the interacting dimensions of environmental, physical, mental, emotional, social, intellectual and occupational health on women’s health outcomes 6.
