Learning Objectives: Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to: 1. Utilize the confidence and self-awareness necessary to develop presence for dramatic and comedic performance and to embrace uncertainty as an opportunity for growth 2. Apply the use of the body, voice, observation, concentration, and imagination in order to believably and compellingly play clear character objectives and actions in comedic and dramatic roles 3. Demonstrate the ability to undertake effective character and play research and script analysis and apply the research and analysis to the embodiment of a character 4. Express a personal artistic aesthetic utilizing informed vocabulary in order to evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of the acting work of others and reflect on one’s own personal and artistic growth 5.
