Learning Objectives: Upon successful completion of this course, the student should be able to: 1. Develop and apply the confidence, self-awareness, and intellectual understanding necessary to speak and perform Shakespearean literature 2. Develop and utilize physical and vocal skills, imagination, and observation and concentration skills in order to believably and dynamically perform Shakespearean literature 3. Conduct effective character, play, and performance style research for Shakespearean literature and apply the research to the embodiment of a character 4. Express a personal artistic aesthetic utilizing informed vocabulary in order to evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of the acting work of others and reflect on one’s own personal and artistic growth 5. Engage critical thinking, empathy, interpersonal communication skills, and problem-solving skills while embracing uncertainty as an opportunity for growth when creating Shakespearean characters and working with others Required Materials: Technical Requirements: |
