Learning Objectives: Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to: 1. Create drawings which follow both national drawing standards and employer standards which differ from national standards 2. Develop ability to visualize 3D objects from 2D drawing; visualize multiple viewing directions; and translate 3D objects into 2D drawing 3. Demonstrate familiarity with materials, methods, and vocabulary of fabrication, machining, and other processes 4. Be able to select appropriate tolerance ranges for surface finishes, clearances and fits 5. Apply basic principles of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing: basic dimensions, MMC, datums, flatness, angularity, position, and runout 6. Utilize principles of basic document control procedures 7.. Apply quantitative problem solving to create functional designs 8.
