Learning Objectives: Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to: 1. Interpret, communicate, and analyze data and error to explore ideas, models and solutions and generate further questions 2. Engage students in problem-solving and investigation, through the application of scientific and mathematical methods and concepts, and by using evidence to create and test models and draw conclusions. The goal should be to develop analytical thinking that includes evaluation, synthesis, and reactive insight. 3. Use and describe real life situations as examples to demonstrate and explain key chemical concepts 4. Use the vocabulary of chemistry to explain, discuss and solve problems about equilibrium systems, acid base reactions, redox reactions and nuclear chemistry, stoichiometry, solutions, gases, thermochemistry, atomic structure and periodicity 5.
