Learning Objectives: Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to: 1. Exchange information in spontaneous spoken and written conversations and some discussions on a variety of topics and in various time frames, using connected sentences and, sometimes, paragraphs. (Interpersonal Communication-- Intermediate High) 2. Understand the main idea and key information in various time frames in short, straightforward informational and fictional texts. (Interpretive Reading--Intermediate Mid/Intermediate High) 3. Identify the main idea and key information in short, straightforward conversations in various time frames. (Interpretive Listening--Intermediate Mid/Intermediate High) 4. Give detailed, short presentations on a variety of familiar topics and some concrete topics they have researched, using various time frames. (Presentational Speaking and Writing- Intermediate High) 5. Compare practices and products related to everyday life and personal interests or studies and interact at a functional level in some familiar contexts.
