Learning Objectives: Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to: 1. Utilize the confidence, self-awareness, and willingness to accept uncertainty necessary for performing dramatic literature with heightened language and stakes 2. Apply the body, voice, concentration, emotional availability, and imagination in order to play clear character objectives, actions, and rhythmic dynamics in dramatic language that is emotionally heightened 3. Conduct effective character, play, and performance style research and script analysis and apply the research and analysis to the embodiment of a character 4. Express an increasingly informed personal artistic aesthetic utilizing informed vocabulary from which to discern the strengths and weaknesses of the acting work of others and reflect on one’s own personal and artistic growth 5. Engage critical thinking, empathy, interpersonal communication skills, and problem-solving skills when creating performances and working with fellow actors in a manner that reflects and builds upon prior training Required Materials: Technical Requirements: |
