Learning Objectives: Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to: 1. Identify how each step of the nursing process is used in the planning of holistic care 2. Identify health promotion strategies that are person-centered, family centered, developmentally appropriate, and culturally aware to support a client’s health behavior change 3. Implement safe practice of fundamental nursing skills that are consistent with nursing standards of practice and professional performance 4. Recall communication strategies that establish and maintain therapeutic relationships with the client, support systems, and interdisciplinary teams 5. Apply selected nursing, ethical, and legal standards of practice to theory and clinical activities 6.
