Learning Objectives: Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to: 1. Recognize and produce some sounds of Chinuk Wawa 2. Speak using memorized phrases and everyday expressions, identify familiar objects, hold very basic conversations, and give a short presentation in Chinuk Wawa 3. Begin to respond appropriately when listening to words, phrases, sentences, and questions 4. Read both brief and extended texts in Chinuk Wawa, with extensive help 5. Write Chinuk Wawa words, phrases, and sentences with initial accuracy in spelling and word order conventions 6.
