Learning Objectives: Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to: 1. Set GMAW machine controls to weld aluminum alloys of various thicknesses using both argon and helium shielding gases 2. Layout, cut and tack typical industrial weld joints and make welds on these joints in the four standard positions 3. Weld aluminum with machine controlled pulsing arc. Make welds on aluminum sheet and tubing materials 4. Perform non-destructive and destructive weld tests on aluminum alloy weldments 5.
