Learning Objectives: Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to: 1. Demonstrate the confidence, self-awareness, and technical understanding necessary to perform for electronic media 2. Articulate and demonstrate how the body, voice, observation, concentration, imagination, and understanding of dramatic structure is similar and different when performing for stage and camera 3. Undertake effective character, script, and performance style research and preparation for camera performance and apply the research to the embodiment of a character 4. Express a personal artistic aesthetic as expressed by informed vocabulary in order to evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of acting work of others and reflect on one’s own personal and artistic growth 5. Engage critical thinking skills, empathy, interpersonal communication skills, and problem-solving skills while working with others and creating performances that are effectively communicated in electronic media Required Materials: Technical Requirements: |
