Learning Objectives: Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to: 1. Demonstrate the heightened confidence, self-awareness, and intellectual understanding necessary to perform non-realistic dramatic literature 2. Apply the body, voice, observation, concentration, imagination, and understanding of dramatic structure in order to effectively perform “Post Dramatic” and non-realistic characters 3. Conduct effective character, play, and performance style research for “Post Dramatic” and non-realistic dramatic literature and apply the research to the embodiment of a character 4. Formulate and defend a personal artistic aesthetic as expressed by informed vocabulary in order to evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of acting work of others and reflect on one’s own personal and artistic growth 5. Engage critical thinking skills, empathy, interpersonal communication skills, and problem-solving skills while creating performances that express complex ideas utilizing “Post Dramatic” and non-realistic characters Required Materials: Technical Requirements: |
