Learning Objectives: Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to: 2. Analyze tort law/theories of negligence and tort reform 3. Describe criminal aspects of health care law 4. Examine contract and antitrust issues – including managed health care 5. Analyze corporate liability and liability of health care professionals as it relates to ethics and malpractice 6. Identify patient rights and responsibilities /patient safety and zero harm (JCAHO) 7. Evaluate policy relating to employment law and labor relations in the healthcare industry 8.
