Learning Objectives: Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to: 1. Compare the purpose, techniques, and legal considerations of the investigative interview to those of the criminal interrogation 2. Identify the environmental factors that promote successful interviewing/interrogation 3. Explain the importance of resources, reports, information, and data gathering in preparation for an interview or interrogation 4. Describe the psychological dynamics associated with interviews and interrogations 5. Identify the legal requirements and limitations that govern the use of the criminal interrogation 6.
