Learning Objectives: Upon successful completion of this course, a student will be able to: 1. Examine emergent curriculum activities based on observations and a play based approach to early childhood education 2. Utilize developmental goals and environmental assessments to enhance learning opportunities for preschool-aged children 3. Explore a variety of STEAM (science, technology, engineering, the arts, math) learning opportunities for young children 4. Design science and math inquiry based curriculum activities for young children that include the national standards 5.
