Learning Objectives: Upon successful completion of this course, a student will be able to: 1. Explain the meaning and application of management accounting terms relating to costs, processes and decision models 2. Understand the quantitative and qualitative strengths and weaknesses of accounting-based decision tools 3. Understand the important features and uses of various cost accounting methods 4. Identify and use relevant accounting data to facilitate cost-volume-profit analysis, make-or-buy decisions, lease/purchase decisions and other management problem solving 5.
