Learning Objectives: Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to: 1. Use critical reading and thinking skills for academic success in writing within the context of a liberal education. Develop the ability to engage in and value a respectful and free exchange of ideas 2. Apply a variety of reading strategies for paragraph-level inquiry, learning and thinking 3. Use time management and goal setting strategies for successful paragraph writing and grammar improvement 4. Use critical thinking skills such as synthesis and analysis as they pertain to paragraph writing and grammar improvement 5.
