Learning Objectives: Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to: 1. Understand the prerequisites and requirements for completing undergraduate and graduate degrees in education (K-5) or in subject areas (6-12) and how to pursue these degrees 2. Determine both educational and career goals based upon self-assessment, interests, and skills as well as upon likely job openings in education 3. Demonstrate skills in using technology both to learn and to teach 4. Demonstrate improved writing and reading skills and the ability to teach others to write and to read with fluency 5. Demonstrate an understanding of intrinsic motivation and how to nurture this though the use of precise praise 6.
