Learning Objectives: Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. Demonstrate an understanding of workplace culture including required dress, conversations, and attitudes 2. Compose in writing a useful resume, cover letter and thank you letter 3. Participate in a “mock interview” process to gain interviewing skills 4. Demonstrate the ability to analyze new situations and respond according to professionally accepted guidelines 5. Identify factors which control and contribute to success in the workplace of the dental assistant 6. Demonstrate an understanding of effective, professional interactions, including what constitutes harassment and unethical behavior 7.
