Learning Objectives: Upon successful completion of this course, the student should be able to: 1. Properly use anatomical and kinesiological terminology. 2. Understand and analyze the physiological processes of inflammation and pain. 3. Understand and apply a joint-by-joint approach to warm-up and training. 4. Demonstrate knowledge of and the ability to manage common orthopedic injuries in conjunction with appropriate allied health care team members. 5. Develop exercise progressions for major regions of the body. 6. Develop instructional handouts for home exercise programs. 7. Demonstrate knowledge of safe lifting and gait mechanics.
