Learning Objectives: Upon successful completion of this course, the student should be able to: 1. Define the role and responsibilities of a paramedic. 2. Describe the components of the EMS system. 3. Relate medical-legal considerations to the area of EMS. 4. Propose the steps in a major incident response. 5. Define stress management and relate it to the EMS. 6.
