MUS 128 - Keyboard Skills 1 (Second Term)
Associated Term: Summer 2021
Learning Objectives: Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to: 1. Demonstrate keyboarding skills with accuracy for notes, rhythms, scales, arpeggios and simple chord progressions including cadences at an intermediate level. (CLO 1.2, 5.2, 5.3) 2. Demonstrate correct voice leading and resolution, harmonization, transposition, and improvisation at an intermediate level. (CLO 1.3, 1.5, 3.1, 5.1) 3. Demonstrate realization of simple figured bass and lead sheet notation at a basic level. (CLO 1.2, 1.5, 3.1, 5.3) 4. Sight read a simple 2 part piano texture at an intermediate level. (CLO 1.1, 1.2)
