ART 276 - Sculpture: Introduction
Associated Term: Spring 2021
Learning Objectives: 3D Design Theory and Practice: 1. Students will create and analyze projects that demonstrate critical and creative thinking and knowledge of 3D/Sculptural theory and practice 2. Students will review and critique 3D art forms from diverse periods of human history Creative and Critical Thinking/ Problem Solving: 1. Student will demonstrate personal aesthetic and conceptual decision-making using 3D/ Sculpture theory and practice 3D Design Aesthetic Elements and Principles: 1. Student will demonstrate knowledge and use of 3D design organizational principles and elements in various 3D Design media and processes Art Historical Theory and Practice 1.Student will create images that reflect art historical and/or contemporary 3D Design practice and theory Critiques – Discussion, Analysis and Application: 1. Student will analyze contemporary and/or historical art forms in relation to 3D Design media and theory 2. Student will explore and analyze cultural ideas as they pertain to art history and various art disciplines, such as painting, photography, and sculpture 3. Students will analyze and critique personal and peer artwork using specific 3D Design practice and theory
