Learning Objectives: Upon successful completion of this course, the student should be able to: 1. Describe the importance of the economic system in U.S. business environments 2. Describe the role of social responsibility and ethics in business and identify some business examples 3. Compare forms of business ownership and the role of entrepreneurship 4. Describe the importance of international business and information technology to today’s businesses 5. Compare theories and strategies of business management, including human resources management and operations management, and describe types of organizational structure and the role of successful teams in business 6. Compare marketing strategies, including product, price, and promotion, and distribution methods 7. Explore opportunities for investment, finance, and international trade within the business environment 8.
