Learning Objectives: Upon successful completion of this course, the student will: 1- Acquire an understanding of the major issues and concepts pertaining to the mental dynamics of exercise and sport. 2- Be able to take exercise and sport psychology theory into practice as a professional in the field. 3- Engage in discovery, independent critical thinking, and communication of ideas by through meaningful discussion and projects. 4- Apply appropriate exercise and sport theories, skills, and techniques to one’s own sport and exercise experiences. 5- Apply appropriate exercise and sport theories, skills, and techniques to clients and athletes. 6- Develop and apply appropriate strategies and techniques designed to prevent exercise and sport burnout and over training.
