MTH 231 - Discrete Mathematics 1
Associated Term: Summer 2019
Learning Objectives: Upon successful completion of this course, the student should be able to: 1. Use propositional calculus notation and techniques to determine the validity of logical statements and proofs. 2. Write canonical expressions for truth functions. 3. Methods to simplify Boolean expressions and logic networks. 4. Translate Boolean expressions to and from logics networks. 5. Use techniques of direct proofs and proofs by contradiction. 6. Apply techniques of mathematical induction to proofs.
