Learning Objectives: The student will be able to: 1- Evaluate the history of women's healthcare and the impact of the women's movement, advocacy and consumer groups. 2- Identify women's specific issues related to risk of disease, health maint enance, and health promotion. 3- Discuss health care resources and critically evaluate health care products and procedures for women. 4- Evaluate the physical, social,emotional, occupat ional , mental, spiritual, and intellectual factors that influence women' s health behaviors. 5- Appraise the violence issues in the lives of women, including genital mutilation, violence in relatio nship s, rape, and sexual assault, and evaluate the long term physical and psychological damage of violence. 6- Analyze the cultural, social, economic, and political state of affairs impacting women's health around the world.
