Learning Objectives: Upon successful completion of this course, students should be be able to: 1- Identify and analyze electronic music works by major composers, groups, and bands 2- Recognize representative styles in each different electronic music genre 3- Use the terminologies associated with electronic music 4- Identify major events related to the development of electronic music and its impact to the society 5- Identify the key aspects of culture, society, history, and geography that relate to electronic music over the last 120 years 6- Recognize how electronic music is applied in other media, such as: video games, film scoring, television, theatrical productions, orchestral scores, multi-media performances, and liveperformance 7- Identify, evaluate, and study the roles of other culture in electronic music history 8- Evaluate the impact of electronic music in the United States and in other countries globally Required Materials: Technical Requirements: |
